The charming village of Pythagorion is located on the Southeast coast of Samos. This beautiful village with its picturesque port is occupying the site of the ancient capital of Samos. An abundance of remains from ancient Greece shows the history of this place under the rule of the tyrant Polycrates. It is also the birthplace of the great Mathematician and Philosopher Pythagoras.
