The village of Mytilini is hidden in the Karvounis mountain range on Samos, between the capital Vathi and Pythagorion.
Cosily nestled in the valley, Mytilini is well protected and not visible from the sea. Vineyards and olive groves decorate the countryside of this rural community.
In the hart of the village lies the attractive square with multiple taverns and cafe’s. A busy hub where the locals come together to do business and celebrate.
The churches Agios Antonios, Panagia Vrontiani en Agios Matron are hidden in the small meandering streets of Mytilini.
There is an open air Cinema, very much worth a visit in the summer, as well as a winter cinema for when the weather gets colder and wet.
Just outside the village on the road to Chora lies the Paleontological Museum of Samos. Here you can have a glimpse into the past of Samos thanks to the taxidermic animals and the fossils, minerals and corals in the museum collection.
