Hi everyone, I’m Caelan! As an 18-year-old junior dive master, I have already been able to discover a lot of the world below sea level. One place that has conquered a special place in my heart is the Greek island of Samos. I have been going there since I was young, because my godmother lives there. Secretly, as a family, we have also fallen in love with this island. Even though it is not that big, I always enjoy myself there. There is so much to do, the people are nice and the atmosphere is always pleasant.

But what makes Samos really special for me is the diving. Greece may not be known for the most spectacular coral reefs and exotic fish, but diving in Samos is truly a unique experience. My first dive in Samos was when I was 11 years old. I was still a beginner, but Samos was the perfect place to learn. The crystal clear water made sure I could see everything well and the diving schools really take their time for you, so there is no stress and you can enjoy yourself to the fullest.

In the years that followed, I gained more and more diving experience in Samos. From beginner dives to more advanced trips, there was always something exciting to experience. We dived at wrecks, in underwater caves and along beautiful rock formations. Because of the clear water you could always see everything well. You regularly come across lion fish, octopuses and large moray eels. And as if that were not enough, it is wonderful to sit on the boat after a dive, with the calm water and the warm sun on your face. Samos exceeded my expectations and I love diving there.

But Samos offers more than just diving! For water lovers there are many other activities to experience. Think of water skiing, windsurfing and sailing. Together with friends on a banana behind a speedboat is of course always a guaranteed success. And for those who prefer to take it a bit easier, there is the possibility to fish. Whether you are looking for a relaxing day on the water or an exciting underwater expedition, Samos has something for everyone.

Samos is an island that surprises me time and time again. The combination of beautiful nature, the cozy atmosphere and the many activities make it a place where I like to come back. Whether you are an experienced diver or just looking for a nice holiday destination, Samos is definitely recommended!
